For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

Jer 29:11 (NIV)

Oregon Women's Prison Ministry Mission Statement.

Oregon Women's Prison Ministry is dedicated to restoring hope and direction to the lives of women prisoners by sharing the love of Jesus Christ through evangelism, discipleship, one-on-one counseling and aiding in their transition from prison to the community.

Prisoners are lost sheep - God is longing to receive them.

Welcome, my name is Christina and for twelve years I have been ministering as the founder of this ministry to women inmates in Oregon. Our ministry is called Oregon Women's Prison Ministry. We have been trained to minister by the Department of Corrections(DOC) as well as the Washington County Jail. God's grace, mercy, forgiveness and joy are what I want these women to experience for themselves. God has given me a deep passion to reach the women inmates of Washington County and State Prison for Jesus Christ. 2 Timothy 4:2 says, "preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage- with great patience and careful instruction."

State Prison AdministrationThree times a week we go to the state prison at Coffee Creek and conduct private counseling with maximum and minimum security inmates and those in treatment, providing Bibles and various Christian books. Once a week we also visit the Washington County Jail. At the prison we provide inmates with the Purpose-Driven-Life by Rick Warren, a recovery bible, and journal materials. We also lead praise and worship, provide personal one-on-one counseling, lead a Bible study and give the incarcerated women an invitation to receive Christ.

At the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility State Prison in Wilsonville, there are over 1,000 female prisoners, and many are waiting for bibles.

Our purpose for writing you is to ask you to help me purchase these bibles for the women inmates. Since 80% of the women that come every week are new to the bible study, we have a great need for bibles to give to these women. Would you please prayerfully consider contributing to this ministry?
